[Review] The Omen MX Goggles by Spy Optic

If someone took all of the best features of a moto goggle and rolled them together into one goggle, the Omen by Spy Optic is exactly what you would get. Superb fit matched with face comfort are what make it so the Omens couldn’t get any better.

Until you realize you’re peering through a Happy Lens ™ which not only protects your eyes from harmful rays, it lets in the not so harmful rays that help us to have a good mood. Hard to be sad when you’re wearing a Happy Lens. The Happy Lens is proven to improve your mood and will keep your smile going until after you get the bikes home.

The removable nosepiece is awesome because I’m generally not a fan of the nose protector and now I have the option of riding either with or without it. With 3 simple tabs, it easily pops off.

I really like the shape and design of the frame. At first, I didn’t think I’d like the “strap tabs” but after wearing the Omen’s for multiple rides, I realize that those tabs are what give them the bomber fit. The frame stays snug up on my face, no matter how obtrusive my helmet is. The tabs basically lift the strap up onto the helmet, separately from the frame so that the frame is not lifted off as well. A great design if you want a snug and comfortable fit.

The foam that Spy is using is extremely soft and works well to wick moisture so if you’re riding in hot conditions, the moisture management of the Omens is key. Not only is it soft, it conforms really nicely to your face.

Spy goes above and beyond to not only include a nice carrying case, but also an additional clear lens and a 10 pack of tear-offs. Having the ability to change lenses is key not only for riding during sunny days and cloudy days, but also for being able to easily replace an inexpensive lens if you happen to crash and scratch the lens past repair.
