[Review] The Dry Bag Everyone Should Own: Discovery Deck Dry Bag by SealLine

If you don’t have a dry bag by now, it’s about time you jump on the dry bag train with the Discovery Deck Dry Bag by SealLine. Not only is this an extremely durable, waterproof, and versatile bag, it has many carry options including a shoulder strap. Whether you’re heading out for a day on the river, going camping with friends, embarking on a motorcycling journey, or simply want to travel with your gear in a secure solution, the Discovery Deck bag is going to do everything you need and more. It even includes a few features that I never even would have thought of (guess that’s why I don’t work on the SealLine development team).

Probably my favorite feature of the dry bag is SealLine’s new one-way PurgeAir valve. This valve will let you compress your dry bag down all the way without excess air being trapped inside. That’s always been my one gripe about dry bags, not being able to get the air out all the way resulting in a much larger bag than necessary. The PurgeAir system works really well and makes my dry bag packing experience much more enjoyable.

I love how durable the material used is and I’m sure that no matter how abusive I will be, these dry bags are going to hold up and keep my contents protected. We use dry bags a lot for motorcycle trips and motorcycles are really tough on gear. No matter what extent we go to to try and tie things down nicely, there always seems to be rub-age.

With multiple lash points, a handle on both sides of the bag, and a shoulder strap, you are sure to be able to tie down and carry the Deck bag in your favorite fashion. Another really neat thing that SealLine is doing is that they are making the inside of the bag a light color. This helps to eliminate the black hole problem that we all happen to face while packing/unpacking dry bags. It’s amazing how big of a difference something so small and simple can make.
