[Review] The Connect RV 65 by Weboost

This year, we were determined to have good cell phone service where we camp down in Southern Baja, Mexico. The town we go to has access and relatively good service except for where we camp. We are down in a hole and it creates a dead spot for service. Last year we’d fluctuate between a bar of 1x to 2-3 bars of 3G. We’d occasionally bump up to 1-2 bars of LTE if we were lucky but it didn’t last long. We decided this year to take a chance on a WeBoost Connect RV 65 in hopes that it would work, though we had no idea if it would. We purchased the WeBoost with our own money and have not yet worked with the brand directly though we hope to one day.

When we got the WeBoost set up (followed all directions carefully to ensure maximum effectiveness) we were honestly blown away by the boost in service we got. We went from again 1x/3G service to 2-4 bars of LTE. We couldn’t believe our $600+ investment was working really well!

Check out the video we published detailing our experience with the product! We weren’t even sure the WeBoost would be effective in Mexico, but it worked flawlessly and we will be traveling with one from here on out. There are a few different versions, with models being more mobile and more appropriate for a basecamp situation (Connect RV 65).

Once again, we purchased the WeBoost Connect RV 65 and wanted to share our opinion. Leave any questions you may have below, we’re happy to help if we can. 9.9

Overall

9.9/10

Pros

  • Works amazingly well - even in Mexico
  • Very much worth the price if you absolutely need your phone/coverage to work
  • Pretty simple once you understand how to set up
  • Great for a van, camper, or more permanent basecamp set up (if you're moving constantly, this would be a little excessive)
  • Can hard wire into rig batteries

Cons

  • Kind of a lot to this product, but we read that the slimmer versions more portable versions don't work as well
