We are once again installing another diesel-fired heater in our camper, this time our 27 ft bumper-pull toy hauler. The 44D-12 by Planar Heaters is a smaller heater than our previous one, made to heat smaller spaces. As we work to install the heater in the camper, we will update this page with information and videos. We will go over everything from what the heater looks like in the box, what’s included in the kit, install tips, and an overall review.

Part 3: Installing the 44D-12 in our 27ft XLR 27HFS
The install of the 44D-12 is complete in our 30ft toy hauler, bumper pull camper. We are so excited to being using it and are excited for a winter of warm camping. We had a fairly simple install as everything was pretty close together, but keep in mind every install and application will probably be different. With the setup of our camper, we had a convenient storage compartment underneath our bed and decided to run only one vent into the living area of the camper. Of course, you could easily plumb in multiple vents. There are a few guidelines that Planar sets for installation, so be sure to follow those.
