Not only is the Valhalla Jacket by Orage a stylish and nicely fitting down jacket for town runs, it’s also the perfect layer for those extremely cold ski days. With 750 fill power duck down the Valhalla jacket will keep you warm without a lot of bulk.
I can easily layer the Valhalla Jacket under my Corbet’s Shell Jacket by Orage and it’s a simple layer that doesn’t seem to get in my way. The Valhalla is treated with an Eco DWR coating so that if it gets wet, it still works to keep you warm. You wouldn’t want to wear the Valhalla in a downpour but in light rain or snow, you’ll be just fine.
I dig the drop hem in the back. I wouldn’t call it a long jacket in the back but it does have a little bit of a drop that gives it some length and added warmth. I feel like a good test is if you can sit on a bench and lean forward and the length of the jacket still covers your back/skin, then it’s adequate. The Valhalla doesn’t allow for any exposure.
While it’s a simple layer, the Valhalla Jacket is key for any winter adventures. Whether you’re sled skiing or shredding the resort, having a warm insulating layer that isn’t overly bulky is a must-have. Be sure to check out more from Orage this winter by heading here.
