[Review] The 40L Travel Bag Bundle by Nomatic

The Nomatic 40L Travel Bag is quite possibly the carry-on sized travel bag of the century. The Travel Bag is for the explorer, the minimalist, the over-packer, the on-the-go business person, the van-lifer, the busy mom or dad, the disorganized boyfriend or highly organized girlfriend. There’s no arguing that if you travel at all, the 40L Travel Bag will be the only bag you reach for when you go to pack. With a well thought out design and separate organization spaces throughout, the Travel Bag seriously makes traveling easier.

Whether you go with the Travel Bag or the Travel Bag Bundle, your packing skills are going to skyrocket. Personally, we think the extra money is worth the bundle because the accessories are great. In addition to the 40L Travel Bag, the bundle includes a laundry bag, waist straps, shirt organizer, toiletry bag & vacuum bag. The vacuum bag and toiletry bag our two of our most used accessories, but they all have a time and place.

Tyson’s absolute favorite part about the Travel Bag is the easy access laptop and tablet sleeve. Without unloading your entire bag in the airport security line, you can access your laptop or tablet or both by just unzipping the top of the main zipper and grabbing your gear out. It’s quick and hassle-free and decreases the stress of trying to get all of your s*** together in the security line.

While living out of these bags for a month, we realized the importance of the integrated organization pockets. It’s much easier to stay organized, move quickly, and decrease travel stress when you know where everything is and have a designated place for all of your belongings. We’re both used to the black hole approach for suitcases but this bag made traveling in Europe easy and efficient.

The shoe compartment keeps your dirty shoes away from clothes, the fleece-lined valuables pocket keeps your sunglasses from getting damaged or scratched, and the secure RFID pocket gives you piece of mind that your Passport won’t be taken. There’s also a water bottle pocket that is entirely waterproof so if your bottle happens to leak, it won’t get anything wet.

Something that is very important to us and absolutely worth mentioning is that we’ve traveled with the Travel Bag for many months now (including the aforementioned trip to Europe) and the bag is still in incredible shape and looks as good as new. On top of really using the Travel Bag, we haven’t been careful with it. We’re sure to use and abuse it and it is, after all, a travel bag. It’s pretty incredible that after all the places/floors/airplanes the Nomatic Travel Bag has been with us, it still looks like a dang nice bag in really great condition. Nomatic uses high quality, durable materials and it shows.

The conversion of the Travel Bag from a backpack to a duffle is quick and simple, though our preferred style is for sure the backpack! The included waist straps are key if you’re going to be doing a lot of walking or training etc. with your travel bag. The waist straps ensure a proper and supported fit and as portrayed in the video, help keep the bag in place no matter what kind of rush you’re in.
