[Review] Men’s Classic 550 Chelsea Boots by Blundstone

To be honest I never had a desire to own a pair of Blundstones but Cally definitely sold me on them. Not only did Cally’s Blundstones endure a ton of abuse, they still look good years down the road and she always talks about how comfortable they are. I decided on the Classic 550 Chelsea Boots and I love them whether I’m working on the motos or heading out for a night on the town. They’re a boot that I’ll have for a very long time, not only because of the timeless, classic look but also because I know they can withstand the abuse.

While they’re a seemingly simple leather boot, Blundstones are designed with ultimate comfort in mind. These Chelsea Boots offer both a cushioned midsole and Blundstone’s SPS Max Comfort system for shock absorption. I have lower back pain and if I wear these while standing for an extended period of time on hard surfaces I don’t have an issue or pain. Comparatively, if I spend the same amount of time standing in tennis shoes, I have to sit down because it gets so uncomfortable. These offer better, more advanced, and more comfortable support than any other shoes/boots I have.

Not only do I dig the look, the premium leather that these Chelsea Boots are made with is water resistant. Over time in heavy moisture or rain, your feet may get wet but I’ve found the water-resistance to work well enough for my needs. If I’m wearing these in snow in the winter, I’ve never had the moisture soak through to my feet. Speaking of seasons, I prefer to wear these in the fall, winter and spring seasons. My feet run very hot and so I’ve found these to be a bit warm for me on the hottest of summer days. I do think that the leather breathes well, but I still find my feet to get warm. For the cooler seasons and even winter, these are the perfect pair of boots for me temperature-wise.

If you’re looking for a solid work boot, lifestyle boot, or just want something for running around town in, the Men’s Classic Chelsea Boots by Blundstone should be at the top of your list. They are comfortable, quick to break in, easy to slip on, and look really nice too.
