[Review] The Body Protector 6.5 by Leatt

If you want the best body protector on the market, look no further than the Leatt 6.5 Body Protector. This protector is a mix of hard shell plastic and 3DF AirFit ventilated soft impact foam. Not only are you getting ultimate protection, but at the maximum comfort level. 

With the 6.5 Body Protector, you get chest, back, elbows, and shoulder protection with CE-certified impact protection. There’s also a built-in kidney belt which is a huge bonus for me. The fit is adjustable and comfortable, thanks to the use of a 3D molded foam that conforms to your body. 

The two-part system is also awesome because it’s comfortable and adaptable. If you just want the back protector and chest protector, you can wear it separately. The base protector is built with a moisture-wicking fabric that keeps you dry and comfortable on those hot days. It’s also soft enough and comfortable enough to wear up against the skin so you can cut out a base layer and be that much cooler. Cally has the 3DF Airfit Body Protector and it’s similar to the 6.5 in its construction (just less hard shell plastic) and she just wears it over a sports bra and under her jersey.

One of the major benefits of the Leatt 6.5 Body Protector (and honestly the main reason for wearing it) is its level of protection. The CE-certified impact protection is among the best available and provides peace of mind for riders who want the best possible protection.

You’ll notice that the Leatt 6.5 Body Protector is one of the highest-priced body protectors that Leatt has on the line. Not only does the level of protection and comfort make it worth the investment, but it’s not something that will only last a year or two.
