The Dynama Pants by Mountain Hardware could be the only pair of adventure pants you need. They’re comfortable, lightweight, and dry surprisingly quickly! These can easily be defined as a 3-season pant and one that you’ll likely live in.
I was extremely impressed by the fit of the Dynama Pants, especially because I’m tall and it’s always a hard chore to find pants that fit me well. I took a bit of a risk and went with the mediums. I really couldn’t believe it when I slipped them on out of the box to find that they were a perfect fit. I’m 5’10, 150pounds, and usually wear a size 6/8 in pants. The adjustable bottom cuff of the Dynama is what really gives them a flattering fit, in my opinion. Since I’m a little bit taller, I just cinch the cuff up and it gives these a cropped and flattering look.
The waist fits really well and is very flattering because of the shape and design. Not only is the waistband a bit thicker, it’s also ruched right where it needs to be insuring ultimate flattery.
The material of the Dynama Pants will, ultimately surprise you, if you’re anything like me. It’s a lightweight nylon-spandex blend and allows for breathability on hot days. You get the protection of long pants without the discomfort and heat of actually wearing long pants. I am not afraid to rock climb in these and while I do think that in a potential sharp rock situation this fabric could tear, I’m willing to risk it for how comfy and amazing these are to actually climb in.
Something about these pants that absolutely floored me was the first time I encountered water while wearing them. In Moab, there’s a hike that we really enjoy taking Hank on. There are about 5 water crossings before you eventually end up at a watering hole complete with cliffs to jump off and deep water to soak in. It was a hot ish day but I was still wearing my Dynamas. At one of the deeper crossings I got wet up to the middle of my shin. After walking for about 30 seconds up the trail after the crossing, I couldn’t help but notice my pants were DRY. No way, I thought and how is this possible? We came to a crossing that was easily mid-thigh. I thought I’d test this. So I went into the water to mid-thigh and walked out. My pants didn’t feel wet, they weren’t holding water, and within about 60 seconds they felt completely dry again. I’ve not had pants like this in the past so I was very impressed.
No matter what adventure I’m heading out on, the Dynama Pants by Mountain Hardwear are the ultimate one quiver pair of pants. I’ve not had a more comfortable 3-season outdoor pant that’s ideal for any adventure.
