[Review] Billet Footpegs by Bullet Proof Designs on my KTM 300

Stock footpegs are alright but if you really want to improve your ride, the Bullet Proof Designs Footpegs will increase surface area to stand on and add extra grip, but won’t add too much extra material to catch on/or bang into rocks. They look way more badass too, but the main point here is functionality.

These footpegs are machined out of Billet 7075 Aluminum so they’re lightweight yet strong and durable. They are anodized and have a few different color options available to match your style/brand. 

If you’ve ever slipped off your pegs you know that it’s pretty annoying and can be painful. These footpegs include sharp stainless steel pins that make the grip unmatched. These footpegs are slightly wider than stock. This gives you the perfect amount of surface area and, in addition to the pins, a comfortable platform to stand on all day. I felt like the stock footpegs easily dug into my foot causing pressure points and pain but the 85 mm width of these helps ease that discomfort. 

The install of these footpegs is simple and takes less than 20 min. The hardest part about it is compressing the spring. I’ve found what works for me is putting the spring in the vice and tightening a zip tie down around it. Once compressed, the spring will easily slip into place. Just be sure to wear safety glasses because if your Harbor Freight zip tie fails you’ll be in a lot of pain (we don’t actually recommend using cheap zip ties for this project).
