My girlfriend of 9 years had never seen me wear a pair of jeans until about a year ago. I used to not be a jean guy but one could say I’ve changed. Thanks to companies like Boulder Denim, I can now wear jeans that don’t suck. I guess I sort of always had this notion in my head that ALL jeans were uncomfortable, restrictive, and not fun to wear. If I can happily wear the Boulder Denim 2.0 Men’s Athletic Fit Jeans – that should be enough to convince you that you’ll want them too.
The 2.0 Athletic Fit Jeans are comfortable, fit extremely well, and are built with features like a stain and water resistant coating for people who are constantly on the go like myself. I can literally do anything in these jeans, whether it’s rock climbing, hiking, or traveling. I can wear them for days on end and go a long time between washes. They are pre-shrunk and made with a memory-shape denim so they don’t bag out (especially key if they’re the only jeans you take on a 2-week adventure).
I’m 6’0 tall and weigh 200 pounds and usually wear a size 34 in pants but I stepped down to a 32 in the Boulder Denim jeans because that’s what they recommend for the athletic fit. These jeans only come in one inseam length of 32. I think it’s a perfect fit for me and it allows me to cuff the jeans one roll if I’m feelin’ it. If I don’t cuff them, I don’t, however, feel as though they are too long.
Aside from how these jeans fit, their feel is just pretty incredible to me. They are not restrictive at all, have just enough stretch, but don’t feel overly baggy after wearing them for days at a time. They are flattering yet not too tight on my teleskiin’ thighs. If you’re looking for an amazing pair of jeans that will keep up with any of your adventures or perhaps you’ve never worn jeans and you’re looking to be convinced that jeans are OK, be sure to check out Boulder Denim.

2.0 Athletic Fit Jeans
$109Pros
- I mean, I love these jeans and I NEVER used to wear jeans so I would say that explains a lot
- Won't bag out after a few wears
- Fit really well
- Extremely comfortable and not restrictive
Cons
- I do feel as though the color comes off on my hands at first but my girlfriend says that's normal (?)
- Do people spend this much on jeans? I don't know, I've never had jeans. My Carhartt's usually only cost like $40. So maybe they are out of my budget? But maybe this is what people spend on jeans.
