[Review] The Ashdown by Native

The Ashdown Sunglasses by Native are as strong and handsome as you are. They’re built with the ultra durable Co-Injected Rhyno-Tuff® Air Frames, incredible N3 tech lenses, and come in a variety of colors. For $99, this is the ideal pair of outdoor sunglasses. They’re not overly sporty yet perform extremely well no matter the adventure. 

The lenses are hands down the most important part of sunglasses as they are the part to provide ultimate protection to your eyes. The N3™ lenses are not your average polarized lenses. Native explains it well on their website: “The most innovative and advanced polarized lens on the market. N3™ lenses block up to 4X more infrared light than regular polarized lenses, pass Z87.1 testing, provide UV protection up to 400nm, and by significantly reducing blue light and selectively filtering UV, they deliver high contrast, crisp definition, and peak visual acuity” (www.nativeeyewear.com). With the N3 technology, I have full confidence in the fact that my eyes are being protected all the time. 

The Rhyno-Tuff® Air Frames will withstand an ample amount of abuse which is really nice for using these glasses in the elements or simply commuting to work. What I like most about the Ashdown Sunglasses and most Native Sunglasses is that they’re built for adventure yet they’re not overly sporty so you can wear them on the day to day as well.

Native classifies these as a medium to large frame and I would agree with that. I would say I have a large face and they’re not too small but they are a smaller frame. They definitely are not oversized and if that’s the look you’d prefer, check out the entire line Native offers. These aren’t so low profile that it makes them have a sporty look but they are low profile enough that you can do things like rock climbing in these sunnies and not harm them. They don’t stick too far out from my face and they don’t ever get in my way.

Between the super smooth cam-action hinges, the Rhyno-Tuff® Air Frames that are nicely finished yet very durable, and the easy to wear medium sized frame, the Ashdowns by Native are a perfect do-anything and do-everything sunglasses.
