[Review] Cruising in Comfort: Rex Specs Dog Goggle

Protecting your dog’s eyes just got a lot easier and much more comfortable for them. Rex Specs Dog Goggles are not only rated UV400 to protect your dog’s eyes from UV rays, they are designed for your dogs head so they are comfortable and easy to wear, and come with interchangeable lenses.  

Hank is using his Rex Specs when we take him on motorcycle rides in the Ural. They are developed with high quality materials to ensure protection from debris (among other things). The first time we put the goggles on Hank, we were surprised with how well he adapted to them. He is a pretty sensitive guy and handled it well.

What we love about the goggles is that they are a large lens/frame, similar to that of a goggle for a human for skiing or snowboarding. The frame size will not inhibit the range of sight for your dog and it makes adapting to the goggles much easier (than goggles that are a separate frame for each eye). The spherical lens adds to the unhindered range of sight.

The frame material is durable but not overly hard, and conforms to the shape of Hank’s face. The foam lining seals nicely on Hank’s head and proves that the fit of these goggles is better than any others out there. While protection is extremely important, so is comfort and Rex Specs definitely understood this concept in the development of these dog goggles!

The fitment of the strap over Hank’s head does a really nice job of keeping the goggles in place. We’ve done highway speeds in the Ural and the goggles do not shift or move at speed or in the wind.
